This was an enviornment I did for a personal film called Take Me Away. The film was about two brothers who loose their mother when the Japanese invade Shanghai during WWII. Unfortunatly, I never got to finish the film.

Everything was done in Maya then rendered out in mental ray with some FG+GI and a HDRI as well as a number of other lights including a light fog which was a pain during render time especially the shadow map.

What's cool about this image is that all the cloth and plants sway in the wind. The cloth is syflex and the plants are paint fx so that tree up close to the camera doesn't look very good.
